The Accreditation Council

The Agency’s Accreditation Council is an elected collegial body that includes representatives of the academic community, employers and students. The Council is authorized to approve regulatory documents and make decisions on institutional and (or) specialized accreditation of educational organizations.

The main tasks of the Council include:

• Conformity assessment: Analysis of the materials for assessing the quality of the educational organization’s activities submitted by the accreditation body, with the declared status and established institutional standards of the Agency.

• Program evaluation: Review of materials for evaluating the quality of individual educational programs for compliance with the standards of specialized (program) accreditation of the Agency.

• Quality support:  To promote the development of both external and internal education quality assurance systems within the Agency.

• Decision-making: Making a decision on accreditation or refusal of accreditation of an educational organization and/or programs implemented by it.

• Monitoring: Consideration of interim reports of the expert commission on post-accreditation monitoring of an educational organization and/or its programs in order to implement the recommendations of the Agency’s external expert commission.
